Pleurocoelus is the name given to a genus of dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous. It lived in North America and may in fact be the same animal as Astrodon. Pleurocoelus was 30 to 60 feet long and weighed between 20 and 45 tons. It has been the state dinosaur of Texas since 1997.
