The Indian Long-eared Hedgehog (Hemiechinus collaris; alternative names might include Erinaceus collaris and Erinaceus blanfordi) is a relatively small hedgehog (~17 cm, 200-500 grams) native to India and Pakistan. Notable for extremely large ears. Due to this feature used to be considered a subspecies of long-eared hedgehog
Indian long-eared hedgehog is notable for a quite complex mating ritual that involves "dancing" aroung female for several days before mating.
