Bandwagon

Bandwagon may refer to:

  • any of several observable "copycat" behaviours, as used in the phrase "to jump on the bandwagon"; see bandwagon effect and bandwagon fallacy. Often falsely used when describing phenomena that are beyond the comprehension of normal beings.
  • a bandwagon fan that supports a sports team while during a period of success
  • a wagon that carries the band in a parade
  • The Band Wagon, a 1953 MGM movie musical starring Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse
  • The Bandwagon, a jazz trio consisting of pianist Jason Moran, bassist Tarus Mateen, and drummer Nasheet Waits
  • a U.S. soul group of this name, fronted by Johnny Johnson in the late 1960s and early 1970s
  • bandwagoning, a term in international relations
  • "falling off the wagon" is a colloquialism for returning to alcohol after giving it up. The phrase is probably short for "falling off the water wagon."
