  • 2099 (MMXCIX) is a common year starting on Thursday of the Gregorian calendar.
  • The BBC Radio 4 Sci-Fi Comedy Nebulous takes place in 2099.
  • It is rumored that descendants of the MS-DOS operating system, among which includes various versions of Microsoft Windows, will not be able to handle dates beyond 2099, but they said this about 1999 and it never came to pass.
  • The BBC Radio 4 science fiction comedy Nebulous takes place in 2099.
  • The Marvel 2099 comic book universe is set in 2099.
